Annapurna Base Camp is one of the finest and most popular trekking routes in Nepal. The difficulty level of the trail is moderate, though there are some challenging sections, particularly when you reach Deurali and Machhapuchhre Base Camp, where the air can feel thin. It’s important to walk slowly, acclimatize properly, and stay hydrated by drinking warm water and soup. The highest altitude reached during the trek is 4,130 meters at Annapurna Base Camp. After Deurali, we will take a slow 3-4 hour walk to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC). Those who are physically fit may be able to reach Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) on the same day. However, for those who need more acclimatization, it’s advisable to spend an additional night at MBC, which is beneficial for adjusting to the altitude. The next morning, we will make a slow 2–3-hour final push to ABC. Upon arrival, we will check into the guest house, enjoy lunch, and take some time to relax. There will also be an opportunity for a side excursion in the surrounding area. We will spend the night at Base Camp.
The Base Camp is surrounded by several snow-capped mountain peaks. In the early morning, we can witness a beautiful sunrise view over Mt. Fishtail. At the same time, we can see the golden rays of the sun illuminating the tops of Mt. Hiunchuli (6,441 m), Annapurna (8,091 m), Gangapurna (7,455 m), Machhapuchhare (6,993 m), and several other smaller peaks.
