Nepal School and Collage Trip

Nepal is a developing country with a lot of needs particularly in the countryside. As such, there are great opportunities for community and social projects which your students can participate in to make a difference.
Nepal is the land of Himalaya, home of the Mt Everest (8850m) which is the highest peak in the world. It’s a naturally beauty and culturally diverse country with more than 100 castes and ethnic groups. It has some of the holiest Hindu and Buddhist heritage sites which are listed as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. Located just five hours via Silk Air direct flight from Singapore, Nepal is one of the most fascinating places in the world to travel.

We are able to organize every aspect of your trip from booking air tickets Singapore – Kathmandu – Singapore and accommodation, all logistic requirement to linking up with a charitable organization or school in Nepal, as well as to procure the necessary equipment and materials for your Service Learning. All trips are accompanied by experience guide and leaders.

DETAILS ITINERARY:

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu Orientation.

  • Welcome session & introductions
  • Program overview and expectation-setting
  • Ice-breakers & group contract (code of conduct)

Day 2: Travel to Pokhara (via flight or bus from Kathmandu)

Arrival in Pokhara Transfer to training base

  • Team Building & Communication Skills
  • Morning: Experiential games focusing on trust, active

listening & team dynamics

  • Afternoon: Low ropes and group challenge course
  • Leadership styles discussion
  • Communication in outdoor settings (verbal vs non-verbal)
  • Evening: Group journal and debrief
  • Stay: Same camp/lodge

Day 3: Trekking Preparation & Wilderness Skills

  • Map reading, orienteering, compass use
  • Backpack packing, gear check, safety briefing
  • Leave No Trace ethics
  • Basic first aid and emergency response (Wilderness First Aid intro)
  • Evening: Simulation activity – Night navigation or shelter building
  • Stay: Same camp/lodge

Day 4: Begin Trek – Hike to Australian Camp or Dhampus

  • Trek begins (3–5 hours hike)
  • Group carries own gear; leaders of the day assigned
  • Trail leadership: navigating, motivating, decision-making
  • Group check-ins & team pacing
  • Evening: Tent or lodge accommodation
  • Stay: Dhampus or Australian Camp

Day 5: Trek & Outdoor Challenges

  • Trek through forest trails (Dhampus – Forest Camp – or similar)
  • Leadership rotation continues
  • Trail challenges (navigation puzzles, scenario-based decisions)
  • Solo time in nature for personal reflection
  • Evening: Group cooking and storytelling
  • Stay: Forest camp area (tents or simple tea house)

Day 6: Leadership Scenarios & Group Expedition Day

  • Simulated expedition: group must self-navigate to a given location
  • Natural obstacle problem-solving
  • Emergency scenario enactment: mock injury or rescue coordination
  • High-pressure leadership and teamwork
  • Evening: Group debrief on conflict, leadership response, and growth
  • Stay: Campsite or lodge near trek endpoint

Day 7: Return to Pokhara & Final Leadership Workshop

  • Trek back to road and return to Pokhara
  • Clean-up and reintegration process
  • Workshop: Translating field experience into real-life leadership
  • Create personal leadership development plans
  • Evening: Celebration dinner & certificate distribution
  • Stay: Pokhara hotel or lakeside guesthouse

Day 8: Closing & Departure

Morning: Final reflection, feedback session, closing circle.Departure for onward travel (Kathmandu or international flights)
