Itinerary

DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU (1300m) (Dinner)

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan Int'l Airport, our Tour leader will welcome you and assist to transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu. After a short rest and refreshed, we'll start our program by visiting world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley and the surrounding areas. First, we will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square which is old royal palace of Kathmandu, where you can see a lot of temples built in traditional architectures and Kumari (living goddess). Next, we will visit Swayambhunath Stupa, said to be 2500 years old located on a hillock, which offers a breath-taking view of Kathmandu City and you will also be able to see the beautiful sunset. Drive back to the hotel. Dinner will be served at one of the restaurants nearby. After dinner, the tour leader will brief you about your trip. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

DAY 02: DRIVE TO POKHARA (823m)(BLD)

We'll be starting our Ghorepani - Poon Hill trekking with drive on Nepal’s interesting highway to reach Pokhara, journey leads past many farm villages and towns with views of mountains.
Drive finally ends on reaching Pokhara and transfer to hotel near beautiful Phewa Lake where most of the nice hotels are located.

DAY 03: DRIVE TO PHEDI TREK TO POTHANA (2540m), 4hrs walk (BLD)

After breakfast, a short drive (40 minutes) will take you to Phedi, our trek starting point. From here we’ll follow the trail to get Dhampus village after ascending for for around 1 ½ hours. The trail passes through terraced fields and small forest. After lunch at Dhampus, we’ll continue our trek, ascend for 2 hours to reach Pothana, where we’ll rest and relax at local teahouse for overnight.

DAY 04: POTHANA - GHANDRUK(1,990m) 6hrs walk (BLD)

Breakfast at teahouse, we’ll be walking up and down along quiet trails through forest for about 3 hours, en-route some small teahouses offering tea and cold drinks breaks for small business. We’ll reach for lunch at Landruk which also nice village settled in terrace landscapes. Continuing, the trail leads step way about 40 minutes walking down to the Modi River and crossing the bridge you can be seen beehives on a side of the cliff. Continuing our trek to Ghandruk, the trail ascends and steepest before we reach at Ghandruk which is a largest Gurung (popular ethnic group from western region of Nepal) settlement in the area with the closest views of Annapurna south and Machhapuchre to the north and evening enjoy exploring the local village and people with traditional dressed. Tonight stay at local hotel/lodge.

DAY 05: GHANDRUK - TADAPANI (2,710m) 3-4hrs walk (BLD)

After breakfast, we’ll start our trek up all the way to Tadapani. Though short, this trek up hill will take about 3-4 hrs to reach Tadapani, where lunch will be served. After lunch, relax and rest time on the lap of Annapurna South and Mt. Fishtail (Machhapuchre). Stay overnight at Tadapani.

DAY 06: GHOREPANI (2,850m) 5hrs walk (BLD)

Today we walk through the jungle, amazing landscape and the Himalayan scenery. We spend a pleasant day’s trekking through rhododendron and oak forests. The scenery gives you inner power to climb up these steps and immerse you to walk more. After few hours of walking with several breaks in between reaching at Ghorepani, we can enjoy the fantastic views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalayan range.

DAY 07: HIKE TO POON HILL (3210m), TREK TO TIKHEDHUNGA 5-6hrs (BLD)

An early morning start for 1Hour and 30 minutes hike up to exciting Ghorepani Poon hill trek (3210m/10530ft), the route offers the glimpse of the pleasant rhododendron forest. This brilliant viewpoint provides us an unobstructed sunrise over the high Himalayas and the wide range of panoramic scenery from the far western Himalaya of Dolpo, Mt. Dhaulagiri, and Annapurna range including Mt. Machhapuchre (FishTail) and all the way to Manasalu. After a great time return back to Ghorepani for breakfast and continue trek to Tikhedhunga and overnight.

DAY 08: TREK TO NAYAPOOL & DRIVE TO POKHARA, 2hrs, (BL)

Today is our last day of trekking, we'll trek about 2 hrs to Nayapool and catch bus to return to Pokhara. On arrival in Pokhara, check in to the hotel. It's free and easy time, and relax in the afternoon. (Optional city tour can be arranged) Overnight stay in Pokhara.

DAY 09: POKHARA – CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK (BLD)

After breakfast, we’ll depart Pokhara on 4-5hrs road trip to Chitwan National Park. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. Lunch will be served in the resort, after lunch we will proceed for Tharu village tour. Dinner and Overnight stay at Chitwan National Park.

DAY 10: CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK (BLD)

The Chitwan National Park (960sq Kms), formerly a royal hunting reserve, lies in the low land Tarai zone in Central. Nepal. It is home to an extraordinary range of the world’s rarest animals and birds. This day will be filled with different types of jungle and non-jungle activities so in other words, it’s a day to have fun and to learn and observe new things. Canoeing & jungle walk or a visit to the elephant breeding center. Lunch followed by jeep safari with evening entertainment. Overnight in Chitwan.

DAY 11: CHITWAN-KATHMANDU (BLD)

After breakfast, we'll leave Chitwan to by coach to Kathmandu.Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel, afternoon is free and easy time. You may want to stroll around the city center. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

DAY 12: KATHMANDU – FLY BACK HOME (B)

After breakfast, we will depart Kathmandu (Tribhuwan I’ntional airport) for your flight back to home with lots of Memory of Ghorepani Poon Hill and Chitwan National Park.
