The Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is among the most popular leisurely trekking routes in Nepal. This trek is suitable for people of all ages, particularly good for families with children. The Ghorepani Poon Hill trek will take you to the heart of the Annapurna trekking region.
The Poon Hill (3,210m) is the ultimate viewing point for the Annapurna range. Other Himalayan peaks include Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Tukuche, Varaha Shikhar, and Lamjung Himal. The view of the sunrise over these stunning snow-covered mountains is so special and the top highlight of this trek.
This trek also includes hiking through colourful villages and rhododendron forests, with the backdrop of the Annapurna always present. The short duration, moderate trekking route and elevation to 3210m serves as a good introductory trek to the Himalayas.
The trek starts from Phedi, an hour drive away from Pokhara. The trail passes through the scenic Gurung villages of Dhampus, Landruk and Ghandruk.
